Description

James Stewart stars as James Hamilton Haskel, a small town guy who through his family works out of town at his uncle’s health food business rather than in his dad’s music shop, where he would prefer to be. You see, James Hamilton Haskel has his heart very much in tune with music but as luck would have it, whilst working for Uncle Charley, he meets the passionately musical McCorkle family and their beautiful daughter, Molly McCorkle (Paulette Goddard), with whom he falls in love. But the McCorkle and Haskel families have never seen eye to eye and when Molly finds out that James is a Haskel, something has to be done … and quickly.
The acting is brilliant with Horace Heidt’s band taking a major role in the plot and even a song from Jimmy Stewart. A light-hearted musical comedy at its entertaining best.
